Synopsis:
Alastor cannot speak directly about his contract.

And more details lie hidden.During Alastor's life he spent the majority of it courting/ pseudo married to a woman named Elizabeth. In this relationship he struggled a lot with his identity, because she was a beautiful lady, and yet, there were days he looked at her an felt nothing. Yet, all this was contrasted by the days he would feel everything for her.Because Alastor assumed something was wrong with him, due to his lack of attraction towards pretty ladies, he ended up allowing Eliza to hurt him, by not conveying his undesire for sexual intimacy. And once she found out, Eliza thought it best to end their relationship, to prevent from harming him again. However, they remained close friends, until his untimely death.In Hell, Alastor, still trying to figure out what was wrong with his lack of a sex drive, ends up in a few, meaningless one night stands. During this period, he finds Mimzy, and the two end up temporarily courting. And, of course, breaking it off when Al started to feel like he was stringing her along, unable to fulfill her needs.He remains alone for a bit over a decade, but, in that time he meets Vox. And the two form a friendship, which is surprising because Alastor has always preferred the company of women over men. And then one evening, while intoxicated, a thought crosses Alastor's mind: What if he thinks of Vox as more than a friend? He's been chasing the supposed spark of love for half a century and the last few weeks, he realizes he's been riding a high, a feeling of satisfaction when spending time with Vox.
Alastor rejects this idea and slowly begins to distance himself from his friend, but there are nights he finds himself falling back into that stupid picture boxes arms. Until...Things got a little complicated and sad.He has opted to be alone ever since.

Alastor was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, just outside the French Quarter to ------- Dubois and Celine Guidry.With his father absent for the majority of his life, Alastor was raised by Celine, who barely managed to support the two of them with her job at Black Bird Bakery. At a young age, Alastor began assisting her with the work and kept an on-again, off-again position at the bakery from his childhood throughout his life.While working this job, he met the owner's daughter, Elizabeth, and befriended her. The two were often given similar tasks and they ended up spending a significant amount of time with one another.By the time they were teenagers, the two were practically inseparable from each other.
A boy named Matthew, who attended the same school as Elizabeth, expressed interest in her. Upon seeing her friendship with Alastor, he extended a threat. Alastor was to quit 'taking advantage of her kindness' and only do what she told him. They were 'forbidden' from having any further interaction. He was there to work, not steal away the owner's daughter.Alastor didn't pay any mind to Matthew, or rather, his threats. However, he did seem to enjoy the position the boy inserted over him. It was taken as a challenge. And the next time Alastor saw the boy in the bakery, he'd made sure to snake an arm around Eliza.
This prompted Matthew to follow Alastor as he was returning home one evening, hurling a slew of racist insults toward him before lashing out and starting a fight that ended in his death.Somehow... Alastor was able to avoid any allegations. Matthew's death remains an unsolved case. A likely victim of the city's gang violence.This encounter awoke a strange, primal urge; an unyielding rage.Around three years later, Alastor made an official announcement, alerting both their families of their mutual desire to begin courting. Which, despite the laws, was agreed to by both fathers, due to their business partnership. Elizabeth's father felt inclined to agree to Alastor's father's proposal, due to his position under the man. He wasn't about to lose his job due to his feelings about his business partner's romantic affairs and the son he begat because of them.It wasn't long after that Alastor met a charming, yet cunning woman that claimed to know about Matthew's death years prior. He played dumb and pretended he had no idea who or what she was talking about.And then she enticed him.She knew the urge to kill again lingered on the tips of his fingers, those he labeled as targets, and the many twisted ways he'd thought about ending their lives... Including his father.Wouldn't it be grand if he were killed and his entire estate was signed over to his son? He could give his mother a comfortable life.Alastor was not a good person. But, he was a good son.His soul and servitude were not a steep price when it came to ensuring his mother could rest.A handful of days passed before his father was found dead just outside of a not-so-hidden speakeasy he frequented.Six years later Alastor ends up on the wrong side of a knife and ends up passing out just outside the property owned by a woman named Mimzy, who suspects that he's a would-be victim of the Bayou Butcher, a serial killer terrorizing Up-Town. But, after piecing the puzzle together, she realizes that he is the Bayou Butcher. She decides to befriend him rather than turn him in.This same year, Alastor and Eliza have a heart-to-heart conversation and decide it's best to separate. While their relationship is "officially over", they end up continuing to see each other periodically.In 1918, during the influenza outbreak, Celine fell ill and tragically succumbs to the sickness, passing away, alone, during the middle of the night, only to be discovered by Alastor in the morning.A decade later, Mimzy is killed, succumbing to her wounds in Alastor's arms. With him vowing to avenge her.One year after that and Alastor's career changed and he began to work for the WWL Radio Station in the background where he remained for six years until it was reported that the current host for the time slot tragically took his life, leaving the station without a broadcaster. Having helped with the setup and equipment testing before, Alastor stepped in and led the station through the deceased operator's shift. Alastor's boss was enraged, as he believed the man should've stayed in his assigned position. His job was threatened, and during the midst of this argument, the owner of WDSU, who was heading into the WWL studio heard Alastor's voice and inserted himself in the conversation, telling Alastor that if his current boss was going to throw away obvious talent, he would take him.A handful of years after Alastor runs into a lead. The man who killed Mimzy has returned to town for the season, but, rather than waiting and strategizing to take out his mark, Alastor, driven by revenge rushes into things. He manages to kill the man, and in the process, gets killed himself.His first extermination heightened his emotions after finding himself caught by one of the angels, fighting them, and gaining his first angelic scar. Luckily, before the exorcist can deliver the final blow, he is grabbed by vine and pulled into the shadows. Saved by an Overlord searching for the new arrival who was making quite the scene. The two parted ways soon after.It wasn't long before he encountered the same woman, being hounded by a group of thugs, newer sinners who had no idea of the Overlord's status. Knowing she could take care of herself, Alastor insisted on interrupting, slaughtering the sinners around her before formally introducing himself.Rosie and him kept acquainted after their introduction and he frequently visited her emporium. She introduced him to another Overlord, Zestial, and explained that he was the Overlord hiding in the shadows.Alastor would make his official announcement months later, making a public appearance as he challenged another Overlord named Chester, earning his second angelic scar, but winning the overall battle.In the early 1950s, Alastor formed a close bond with Vox. As they took on various jobs together, their friendship deepened, and they spent most of their free time in each other's company. Alastor considered Vox a partner, but their dynamic shifted in 1974 with the arrival of Valentino, another sinner who caught Vox's attention. Valentino's overtures toward Alastor made him uncomfortable, leading him to distance himself from Vox. Although they still crossed paths, their nights together lost their former intimacy, and Alastor opted to operate independently.Valentino and Vox both attempted to persuade Alastor to join their alliance, but he vehemently refused. A deep-seated rage simmered within him, fueled by the feeling that Vox had betrayed their once-strong partnership. Alastor had never wanted to involve a third party, and Valentino's presence only served to further erode his trust.The tension between them escalated when Valentino tried to corner Alastor, employing his typhokinesis in an attempt to brainwash him. However, the effort backfired, leaving Alastor severely ill instead.The incident marked a turning point in Alastor's friendship with Vox, which began to fray.The tension between Alastor and Vox's group escalated when Alastor was presented with an ultimatum: join the "Vee's" or face the consequences. Alastor's response was a dismissive laugh as he waved them off, making it clear that he would not be intimidated. The rift between him and Vox had grown too wide, and their friendship had deteriorated beyond repair.The next extermination Alastor's was recruited him for a dangerous outing. and while on his way to their rendezvous point, Vox publicly confronted Alastor, forcing him to accept the duel. Which he believed he could easily win. However, Valentino soon joined the fray, turning the fight into a 2-on-1 battle.Alastor swiftly incapacitated Valentino, not bothering to hold back on the man, before refocusing his attention on Vox.
Vox gained the upper hand and Alastor found himself on the brink of defeat, barely noticing the glint of an exorcist's spear above them. With his last ounce of strength, he threw Vox off, taking the angelic blade to his shoulder before vanishing into the shadows.Upon his return to his contract holder, Alastor faced severe punishment for his actions. He was cast into the desolate realm of nothingness, where he languished for seven agonizing years.

The microphone can mimic any voice or sound it has heard. Alastor uses recordings of his contracts 'loved ones' (if he's heard them) to lure them out of hiding. Or he'll distort their voice to use as a scare tactic.Level Two: Broadcasting
Connecting to the speakers/radios across Hell, and bringing in "listeners" will supply Alastor with a power boost.
Using this same technique, he can play disorientating sounds/recordings on a massive scale.Level Three: A Deer With Headlights.
The "eye" of his microphone emits a blinding, disorientating light that has the capability to temporarily stun the beholder.Level Two combined with Level Three has a chance to blind and deafen the beholder, depending on their location within Pride.Personal Abilities:Level One: Vèvè
Tapping into his energy and the energy of the world around him, Alastor is given access to a plethora of abilities that include protection, warding, healing, and divination. This range can expand depending on what lwa is invoked.Level Two: Soul Poppets
It's a dangerous thing, to give up a soul. Alastor's contracts know that well as he is able to rip their souls from them and place them into poppets ("Voodoo Dolls") where he overwrites their wills with his own.
If they're destroyed with a standard weapon, they return to their original form. If the poppet is destroyed via an angelic blade, the soul is shattered and the host dies.Level Three: Umbrakinesis
Alastor can summon and manipulate shadows to do his bidding. He's known to hide within the darkness or warp through it to travel large distances quickly. He's also perfected a shadow barrier that can cover a large area or a more personal one.
This ability is also capable of summoning several shadow tendrils that can operate in a variety of ways.Gid.da Ε‘ul
Also known as The Umbra. It often takes on a warped reflection of its medium and has access to his abilities as well as the ability to expertly wield his microphone.
The shade can also possess and control Alastor.To those who have formed a close bond with Alastor or can hear Umbra's voice speaking directly into their mind. This includes sound and visionary projection.These are the abilities he is allowed access to while under contract.

β§ Alastor is subjected to parasomnia, which can result into sleep walking episodes. It is not recommended to wake him up.β§ His microphone(s) are inhabited by souls he owns. Despite being trapped in his staff, they do have wills of their own and can choose to disobey. The fifth microphone is broken in the Finale and he's currently working on the 6th iteration.β§ In life, Alastor contracted Kuru. And the disease ultimately caused his death as his body gave out at the worst time.β§ Alastor and Mimzy play a game of cat and mouse, where Mimzy lures potential victims for Alastor to kill. They have been doing such since shortly after they met.β§ It takes entirely too much alcohol to get Alastor drunk. He has a very high tolerance.
But, after a few drinks, he does get more touchy-feely around his friends.
